Purpose?
4 March, 2012
Author: Meridian Zuriel
Were we meant to suffer
Were we meant to stay broke
Were we meant to stay angry
Were we meant to be happy but a short while
Were we meant to drown in sorrow
Were we meant to stare out the window
Were we meant to wait forever
Were we meant to complain
Is it always like this
Do we live just to die
Do we come into this world
Just to cry
Was I born just to wonder why
Was I born just to be a slave
Was my brain made to forget
Was the pain meant to stay
Was I meant to dream
I've accomplished my goal, now what?
Does the buck stop here?
Does my future disappear?
How bright is it?
How much oil will I need in my lamp to see?
I drive the way I do
To leave the world
But you can't
Escape the world
You're stuck.
The only planet you can escape to
Is in your mind

Meri (71.251.181.142) -- Friday, March 9 2012, 02:06 am Thank you. It's so easy to get frustrated, but always in the back of my mind (I must admit), is a little voice telling me to be thankful in spite of. It definitely could be worse. The waiting part is just so hard though. |
