Woe to Women with Children!
The Unborn and Infants May be Most Susceptible, One Should Always Take Time to Research and Talk to Their Doctor Before Taking Any Action Themselves.
According many medical, water testing, and EPA sites, it’s the unborn and infants that could suffer the worst from an over exposure to such heavy metals as lead, mercury, nickel, cobalt and chrome. Many limitation charts suggest that the very young should be limited to just only the natural occurrences of these metals, no more, and expectant or planning to be expectant mothers the same. Many of these charts are expressed in such weight limitations as micrograms (ug, and mcg), and milligrams (mg) or such liquid samples as micrograms per liter (ug/l) and air samples as parts per million (ppm).
According to New Zealand Dermatology as much as ten percent of the population are currently or will become allergic to nickel. And if you are one of those lucky persons, you have a ninety five percent chance of being allergic to the element chromium. And if you’re allergic to chrome you will also be allergic to cobalt.
These metals can be reduced to soluble salt crystals so small as to be completely undetectable to the unaided eye. In their larger forms some are used as reflective material that can decorated our eyes such as glitter, certain eye shadows, even reflective striping on clothing. It was this reflective striping that originally alerted this reporter to these transitional metal elements which are found on the periodic table as Ni, Co, and Cr, after experiencing allergic reaction to chrome.
These three elements can have a serious effect on an allergic person as the poor metal elements such as mercury (Hg) and lead (Pb) do on any person. While there is significant evidence that supports these transitional elements will and do dissipate over time, the tolerance levels may be lower to one who suffers from an allergy to them. They may even be as low as the unborn and infant children.
It is recommended that anyone who is pregnant or planning to be pregnant or suffers from allergies talk to all their doctors about this, whether they are on current medication that may mimic one of these elements or just a worker who is exposed to these elements and may accidently bring them home with them.
