Lost Cause
25 March, 2012
Author: Meridian Zuriel
In too deep
Can you catch me
Gone too far
Can you stop me
I'm lost
Can you find me
I cried
And I moaned
And I yelled
Kicked
and screamed
Wish it was all a dream
My shades
- Feel nothing. See nothing. Hear nothing.
Hide behind the shield on my eyes
Wear a disguise
Can't get lost in the crowd
Cause I stand out
Like a kidney bean
In a pan full of limas
Walking around
Unconscious, blind
I sleepwalk with my eyes open
My mind closed
Self-control
Is easier said than done
Love when I run
Round that three mile trail
Trying to escape Hell
Fire's licking at my heels
Can't conceal how I feel
Living life ain't easy
When I would do good
When I would think good
When I would say good
Evil is always present with me
Lord touch me
Mentally, spiritually and emotionally
Cause I'm lost at sea
Shore's too far away to swim
Lord don't let me be
Come and rescue me
