Imagine me the fool with you in love.
Hoping my desire to be with you would
inspire a desire in you to be with me,
and these feelings of desire that you see
from me might somehow be reciprocated.
But
Imagine me the fool with you in love,
believing that demonstrations of love from
me to you, might emancipate those feelings
that i have deceived myself into believing
that you have for me, but to borrow words
from the Temptations, it was just my imagination
running away with me
