Dandy Dusty Trail
24 April, 2012
Author: Dino Hi
Those beautiful yellow flowers of the dandelion
is popping up everywhere in my grass
like a Garden of Eden
with as much salad greens you can eat
Won't starve here with snails to add
Got out my one gallon sprayer
and a bottle of Weed-B-Gone
War in the battle of Armageddon on weeds has begun
550,000-strong, a green army deeply rooted
will meet their end in the world of mine
and the generations that follow
As I calmly wait their death
down under my favorite tree
Flowers of yellow will be on their graves
As worms turn them into fertilize doo
it's so easy, and is the answer
As I wait for another morning to continue
Send this message! Dandelions to dirt
On a dandy dusty trail to their end

Capricorn (82.36.135.103) -- Sunday, April 29 2012, 01:15 pm This gave me a giggle, Dino. We are plagued with too and other weeds. Someone gave me a tip on the dandelions - pour boiling water on them and it does work. I hope you win your battle. |
Dino Hi! (24.19.113.200) -- Monday, April 30 2012, 04:59 am Ha,ha, I'm still sitting under the tree watching? Looks like they're feeling a little sick? Like they got the bla-zay? Some of them yellow flowers are touching the ground. Hmm? Maybe they need another spoonful of cod liver oil, like I use to get, when I was sick? (Old days) then a squirt from that red rubber hot water bottle tube, in the plumbing system. For those too young to remember, just be lucky! ....So maybe one more oz. for good measure? Thanks Cap for your comment. Have a great day! |
