Disbelief
23 April, 2012
Author: Catyrose
A cloud of gloom descends
Enveloping me in it's fog like vapors
Disappearing into the midst of disbelief
Patterns set in stone
From which I long to escape and you deny
Have led to the dissolution of a long lasting love
And a friendship I had come to depend on
Your tone is no longer angry, nor arrogant,
But one of indifference
Far more disruptive to my heart, soul, and mind
I slip away into the gloom
Searching for the parts of me I gave to you
Lost and alone
Yet if I am honest I was alone with you by my side
As the distance has grown between us
We have lost the love, trust, and respect we once had
Or was this all simply an illusion?
A fairy tale I longed to come to fruition
Yet never did, and never will
