Reality Check?

I fight back the urge to feel that sweet release, oh how It felt so good.
You could feel every emotion drip away, for just a few moments there's nothing, it's plain.
It's been a long time, so I'll reminisce, now that I remember, there's not much to miss.
How I want that sweet tasting feeling, those few moments where nothing exists.
Concentrating on only one thing. I have my scissors, and there good ones too,
made of precious metal, shiny but not new.
I have old faithful, a rusty blade, won't only do the job, but it'll poison your brain.
It's been a long time, so I'll reminisce, now that I remember, there's not much to miss.
I've done the drugs, tried them all, nothing compares to that age old tool.
Only with that, do I receive, a memory blank, no feelings to bleed.
It's been a long time, so I'll reminisce, now that I remember, there's not much to miss.
