Darkness Invading ( Blue Flu)
9 June, 2012
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
I cannot convey the darkness that invades me
The shadows that hover over my light
I cannot understand these feeling
Nor do I know why they persist
I just feel the darkness
I close my eyes at night
Hoping in the morning it will be different
That somehow the darkness with lift
But I open my eyes in the morning
I pull my covers back over my head
I wonder of the self made loneliness
Lack of excitement or promise of tomorrow
I look for hope for change.. but there is none
Each morning awaking to the monotony
Another day in, day out repeat
Is it me? or is it the world?
Could it be the planets are not aligned
Is it those which I choose to share my life
Dragging me down to this dark place
A place I never want to call home

I just go thru a spell once in a while for a couple days where I get down in the dumps for no real apparent reason.. I just have to ride it out like the flu, hence the "Blue Flu" reference.. Just having a case of the blues when I wrote this one... Nothing to worry about though.. Thanks again for taking the time to read |
