I need someone to hold my hand
Walk with me through this life
I need someone to hold me close
So I know everything's alright

I need someone to comfort me
When life has sprung an attack
I need someone who'll look out for me
Who'll always have my back

Someone who will always know
Just what it takes to make me smile
Someone who is worth my love
Who will go the extra mile

I need someone to show me
How much they truly care
Someone who'll never let me doubt
Whether or not he's really there

I need someone to let me know
How happy I make him
I need someone who wants my love
Why can't you be him
