My Own Tulip
20 October, 2003
Author: Elizabetta
these words won't flow
but I want them to
because you deserve
to be ripped apart
with eloquent verse
you who made me read Yeats
and showed me the poetry
in every moment of the day
in the tulips
the raindrops
a half small
quick embrace
I mean nothing to you
you need nothing of me
you simply stopped in
my life to make
me complete for awhile
than wilted away
and left me with only visions
of color and grace
so now i wait
through this cold barren winter
not for your return
but for the desire
for such a love to
once again receed
till I rembrace
the numbness of the cold
