Weeping Willow Veil
13 December, 2012
Author: Lamar Cole
Underneath a weeping willow veil,
In love my sweetheart and I fell.
In a field of clover, sweetheart became my lover.
Alongside a babbling brook, sweetheart gave me a sultry look.
In a reflection from a mountain stream,
You could see sweethheart's eyes beam.
In mountains where clouds touch the sky,
Sweetheart's and my love did fly.
