All I Ever Wanted
3 March, 2013
Author: Meridian Zuriel
To see the world
To see big oceans and rivers
To smell all the flowers
To relish the hours
To dance in a wheat field
To have fun
To have peace in my soul
To tell one of the greatest
Stories ever told
To leave the familiar
To step into the unknown
To have the tangible
To actually have a moment to own
To hold the sun and moon
In my hands
To control my night and day
To stop time
Before it flies away
To take a cruise to Germany
To eat German cuisine
To explore and experience
The things I’ve never done or seen
To record in the studio
Fine tune my demo
Learn the producer’s job
Before my dreams are robbed
To have more than enough
Set aside for a rainy day
With the help of the Good Lord
And a good job with generous pay
To be independent
To live alone
To ride in a reliable vehicle
To be successful on my own
To sing at a concert
To share my lyrics with the world
To hopefully inspire
Men, women, boys and girls
To see my dream happen
And remember those by my side
To bless who I can
To let negativity slide
To be remembered for my good
Not just my flaws
To be remembered by name
A contributor of a good cause
Life is like a wave
It’s high and low
Like a traffic light
There’s a lot of stop and go
I’m almost scared to testify
I’m almost scared to smile
The minute I get joy
I’m like the fallen foul
The wings I had
I had very briefly
I was forced to land
I haven’t a clue
If my next map
Differs from God’s plan
