When The Darkness Comes
9 April, 2013
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Don't take me for granted
or try to push me around
Don't tell me what to do
it starts the darkness round
Ignore my needs and desires
you play on dangerous ground
I can put up with it for quite a while
till that last straw is found
Eruptions of anger surface
a volcano set, ready to blow
If I don't find a way to get away
there's no telling the fit I will throw
Being the wordsmith that I am
my sword could flash a fatal scar
A madman fighting to get out
an anger inside so bizarre
So when I say just leave me alone
it's a word for the wise to take
For if you force confrontation
it would be a big mistake
For as much as I need love right then
I need more for you to stay away
If you just let me have this time
Love will again find its way..
