Cage Of Yesterday
5 March, 2014
Author: Shan
Past the cage of yesterday
Awaits a fate of a simple way
The haze has cleared
The days are new
The craze is feared
But is no longer you
Stronger geared
Along the path
Appear the mirror
To see all it has
The strength to live
The knowledge sought
The heart to forgive
The past not forgot
Seek deep within
Weep as you need
Let all that begin
Be the call you need
Fall a time or two
Or three or more
Do not fear to do
Anything of sort
Stand today
Tomorrow too
For that cage of yesterday
Has made you
You
