Heart's Farewell

I can be lonely without you
I don't need you here to feel that
For many years I played solitare
I can play again from here

I gave you all I had to give
You took it oh so easily
I tried to help you achieve your dream
I thought we shared a feeling

I looked in your eyes and thought I saw something
But maybe it was all just a lie
So easily you make your choice
So easily you now walk away

I saw it coming; cause I've seen it before
A zebra doesn't change it stripes
Love gets to close, so you chase it away
Better it be you, to break my heart

I'm sorry the choice was yours to make
You knew how I felt, but somehow still thought it okay
Breaking my heart without care
You blame me for my anger and hurt

I never ever wanted it to end like this
I wanted to believe in forever
But why should I keep giving my all
When you don't want to spend tomorrow together

The pain of watching you slowly walking away
It hurts, but I cannot let it destroy what is left of me
I was lonely before you, I can be lonely again
But you choosing her, over me is the end
