Beauty Ending
17 March, 2014
Author: Tarna
Everyday used to be beautiful
It didn't matter for the rain
The sunshine of you kept it bright
I looked forward to basking in the light
There was never a dark cloud
That could steal it away
The feeling of an internal high
My heart always smiled
I was happy there with you
In my dreams, in your arms
So full of love it glowed from me
Lost in your eyes, was my heart
But the weather changed and fate rushed in
Bringing a darkness as it always does
No one can change the weather
They just have to ride out the storms
The reality of nothing good ever lasts
Like a tornado it tore through my days
My laughter faded as did you
Fading to a dream that disappears
I try to sleep through the clouds that don't clear
I hold too close to the beauty that was
But those days of love are now muted
And my smiles have turned to tears
I thought Love lasted forever
Not just until a new convenience came along
In my silence I stand alone looking at the destruction
That love can do to the soul
------- Author's Notes -------
I thought True Love lasted forever.... Silly me |
