Three Years
1 April, 2014
Author: Shan
There's this emptiness
This hollow realm
It echo's of the tears
How can I let go of it
Just been so many years
And if I fall now into bits
The pieces, they may pierce
May crack and break
And may not fit
I lose myself in fears
Hard to say I'll find my way
When I know not where I am
The empty thoughts and heartache
Everywhere I stand
How can three years seem like yesterday
And pain me just the same
'A nickel for your thoughts', you say
As if it's all a game
I've been told that only time will heal
But it does nothing of the sort
Maybe that's just how I feel
Maybe just how I distort
I can almost hear through pictures
Nearly feel when you would call
Those too are losing scriptures
Soon to be nothing at all
I miss you more than words describe
More than I can explain
Maybe someday
When the pains subside
I'll try once again
