In Need Of A Dream by Tarna

I'm in need of a dream
A future with me in mind
Something to look forward to
and someone to share it with me

I dream of someone
who wont tire of me
and look for some one new,
casting me aside as yesterdays news

I need a place where I feel important
not just day in day out repeat stuff
but a happy I am alive place
where I can walk and feel free

I need some time
set aside for just me
Without kowtowing to others
nor fulfilling their needs

I need to be first once in a while
instead of second to everything in life
I want to feel special and needed
Not just someone's wife

I'm in need of a dream that's attainable
Where love holds the key
that unlocks the prison of a mundane life,
just for me

Great work Tarna!
I think you touched on something we all can identify with, the need for solitude and self-love even in the midst romance (or the search for it).
It's always better to find love for yourself than try to find it in external vindication- cause once we love ourselves, others will find it easier to do so too! Great write!
