The Gospel Of Lucifer
13 September, 2014
Author: Mark Spencer
Lucifer is very subtle
He’s such a tricky sod
He manipulates the bible
And our belief in God
He makes us think we’re good enough
And part of God’s elite
When raptured we’ll be lifted up
While others face defeat
And it’s our interpretations
Of promises misheard
That led to these assumptions
About the holy word
And Lucifer has forged the way
That old deceitful guide
He leads us to the slaughterhouse
By kindling our pride
He lets us think that all it takes
To receive salvation
Is to acknowledge sacrifice
And divine creation
But true belief is more than this
It is a path we walk
It’s more than just declaring faith
For that is only talk
Yet some believe they’ve reached the top
Of God’s most holy list
Though living by our Lord’s commands
Is something they dismissed
While some have never read the word
That they claim to adore
To read the bible is a task
That they choose to ignore
Others covet earthly treasures
Saying it’s their reward
Because they are such faithful souls
Their wealth comes from the Lord
And why do some believers think
Once they’ve been born again
That they are somehow greater than
The souls of other men
Is an orphan less an orphan
If his parents have died
Does he outshine abandoned kids
When standing side by side
For Lucifer convinces us
That we have earned our wings
By saying we believe in Christ
We’re made of better things
And on these lies he’s built his church
And made it look like grace
While those who congregate within
Say it’s a holy place
A variation of the truth
Is preached within these walls
A message that the proud desire
Echo throughout its halls
The tune played by this piper’s flute
Will lead them through the gates
And Lucifer will cast them down
To their eternal fates
The gospel that will puff you up
Is only a façade
That gospel comes from Lucifer
It doesn’t come from God
For Jesus teaches penitence
He washed the sinner’s feet
He told disciples how to find
His father’s banquet seat
For only as a child shall you
Enter the banquet hall
The MAN who tries to enter there
Pursues another call
The call of that pied piper’s flute
Has cast a fatal spell
It leads him to Lucifer’s door
The banquet hall of hell

Wess (72.35.156.18) -- Tuesday, October 14 2014, 11:38 am This is an excellent message that I wish all Christian could read! Too often I encounter this kind of Christian! I once had a woman look down on me for being a non-denominational Christian, then she puffed up and told me proudly that SHE was a Methodist, as if that was better somehow. Mind you, this was in a bar where I was working at the time! She had a drink in her hand, and I had a guitar pick in mine. Some people. Anyway, I especially liked the line: The gospel that will puff you up Is only a façade That gospel comes from Lucifer It doesn’t come from God |
