Moonlight penetrates,
hits my tear-stained face
soaks straight to my soul.
A rush, a cool sensation
an icey river through my veins.
The beams carry with them,
bitter sadness, sugar coated
Like a cloud of pain, silver lined
The shadows gracefully dance
light encircles me
lost and lonely
in an empty world
the moon and I
