My Longings And Yours
18 October, 2014
Author: David Russell
Loveliness emerging from the chrysalis
On a scorching summer day
How could you get so near to perfection?
Haven’t you got to be so stern with yourself?
Or are you striving for the ultimate reward
That could be me
You’ve really managed to love yourself
So now you’ve got to step outside yourself
You’ve been so beautifully immersed
So now it’s time to rise
Delicious vapour to the stratosphere
Did you adore your reflection?
Did you adore that alter ego, that lookalike?
You must keep growing,
And make that adoration all-embracing
Let out your latent desire
I’ll lure you away from the poolboy
I’ll lure you away from the pool, boy
