Celestial Ambience
29 December, 2002
Author: Elizabetta
Moonlight penetrates my soul
A hypnotizing glow pulls me in
The world fades away, I'm alone
Lost is a celestial dance
The melody slowly grows louder
A song from a time long ago
Then from up in the sky, the moon extends his hand
"come befriend the stars" his gentle call.
With child-like trust I accept
My palm clutches tightly to his
With the blink of an eye go my problems
Disappearing with gravity's pull
We float up amongst the heavenly beauty
A reality so dreamlike, I'm unsure
The earth echoes out it's call for me
I ignore it, holding on to the moon
Then out of the darkness comes my foe
Inevitable, regardless if I close my eyes
Knocking on the distant horizon
My friends stolen by the sun's first light.
