Little Things That Matter
18 April, 2015
Author: Newage Caveman
An infant's warmth on a cold morning
A hot coffee on a rainy day
A rising sun on a vastness that is dawning
Moist laden mist on top of a wandering grey
A Sunday spent basking in slumber
A Monday lived reading a book
A Tuesday that tells a tale to remember
A wondrous week that flies like a fluke
Sparrows and pigeons cooing in the daybreak
Rising rainbows that melt from a rainy sky
A birthday surprise, a chocolate cake
Laughter, which makes us heave a huge sigh
These little things as they seemingly seem
Are the big things that light our smiles
While we drench ourselves in our daily grind
With a small step begins a journey of a thousand miles
We think we have a lifetime left
To create that deep difference within
We must thank our stars for our wonders
Wonders that shape our lives, amidst the crazy spin
A life well spent cherishing the joyful times
Is a life that will add meaning and color
Our tireless pursuit of things in this madness
To embrace the last days of breath in splendor."
