Lake
16 September, 2015
Author: Richard Stirsman
my oasis of solitude
she set in a small valley
surrounded in a deep well
of tall pines and cedar
lake is like glass not a ripple
reflecting blue sky so deep
small boat glides across the
glass-like water
with two stroke of the oars
you drift silently across water
so quiet all you hear is dew
dripping off tree into water
making small ripple in the
morning light
smell of pines fill the air
cool and warm at the same time
my oasis time stand still
for a time
