A Surreal Reality
28 November, 2015
Author: Pondering Red
a cold cold morning
in early june -
autumn jacket weather -
cover up
hide under the warmth
as chilling winds
sweep by uncovered skin -
secrets hidden in boxes -
in turbulent dreams -
long night times of scattered episodes
of inter stellar brain travels
riding in and out of twisted speckles
of remnants of the real world
as i know it -
the mixed up perceptions of
what is and is not
and all the inbetweens
the grey and silver zones
of the past -
the experiences and interactions
that bother us -
make us toss and jump in the air
almost flying over
scenes of surreal reality -
how could it be ?
yet - it is
and it invades my consciousness
and the deep realms
of my mindfulness
almost nightly -
paintings and sketches -
rough and not finished
canvases and papers
of drawings -
i am not satisfied with -
enough -
enough -
my day is starting -
some traffic sounds -
news on television -
the usual routines -
small daily things to do
to keep sanity
to carry on
to do robotically
in a daze of sorts
so i can enter
the outdoors
on this rainy day
to breathe different air
to observe different things
see people
wait for buses
wait for this
and that
a waiting game
over and over
waiting in different places -
that blend together
today and tomorrow
and mix together in future dreams
over and over
over and over
and over
again and again
small changes
i capture on film
it is what it is
i need a plan
a pleasant escape
a change of habit
of scene
of landscape
of colours
of sounds
and so
i check my lists
and wait
and wait
