enough of the gloom
and the devastation

time to soar
into gentleness
be it from
the past
the future
this present moment

breathe in fresh air
breathe in newness
clear the mind
of oppression
and intolerance

dig deep
into the chamber
of the heart
where
a peace resides
a calm
of infinite proportion

feel the healing
of whatever it is
that you envision
that soothes
releases tensions

perhaps
a snowy scene
lush evergreens
sprinkled
with crystals of wonder

fireworks
of good energies
illuminate the midnight blue sky
as New Year's Eve
winds around the world
