Illusions
11 February, 2016
Author: Newage Caveman
Dense fumes
Rising smoke
Burning earth
On a single stroke
Leaving a legacy
Weaving a story
Transcending time
Dawn of a new glory
A tale of a being
New chosen script
Life’s new meaning
Mankind’s own wit
As she slipped into a trance of her own
She could see her visage in the mirror
A mirror that was serene as a lake
Vivid and calm like a hillside river
From a staggering star studded distance
Her life seemed like a dream
A dream that she thought she was living
Only to wake up to another careen
Life’s strange illusions
Come to us as stories
A scripted fable in wilderness
Filled with meaning and many memories
Grounded in the present reality
We live and we so dearly will
To live another day in the future
Like queens and heroes of a parable.
