Alone With You...
3 August, 2016
Author: LAR
Alone in my thoughts,
alone in this room,
I gaze upon your form, in my mind.
With a smile,
I watch your face,
cradled on your pillow,
and the slight rise and fall
of your breathing.
The outline of your body
beneath the sheets,
brings thoughts of old to mind,
and I smile again,
knowing that I once held you
and in holding you,
I did so much more than most men
will ever do —
I held an angel in my arms.
Few can say that.
