I shut my eyes,
here, in the very back row,
and I can hear your smile
as it echoes from there
to here.
It is a warm sound,
comforting,
wrapping itself around me,
around my mind,
my thoughts,
and my heart.
No artist
has ever made a smile
as beautiful,
as impaling,
as captivating
as yours.
I am able to close my eyes
and feel the warmth of your smile
as it crosses the distance to me,
and I made humble,
because I know
that it is the sweetest gift
you have to give,
and the most priceless gift
that I could ever receive.
