We all have someone to thank,
for many things-big and small,
but I think it's you I want,
to thank the most of all.
You carried me inside of you,
for nine months in a row,
housing me and loving me,
allowing me to grow.
Teaching me everything,
about the world today,
explaining the importance,
of learning to obey.
And when I got to be to big,
there was nothing left to do,
you helped me, to see the light,
and catch a glimpse of you.
They say that angels are pretty,
but they are nothing like what I saw,
you must be their leader,
you were the best looking of them all.
I think you were surrounded,
by a radiating light,
my little heart began to tremble,
I loved you at first sight.
As you cradled me in your arms,
I felt as safe as I could be,
I could see how glad you were,
that you were holding me.
I can't say how nice it was,
to finally see your face,
have you holding me in your care,
as you welcomed me to this place.
So thank you for your love,
and the guiding hand you lend,
I would also like to thank you,
for being a great friend.
