War
18 April, 2003
Author: Ashlee B.
First you get the phonecall.
You say goodbye to loved ones.
wondering if you'll see them again.
Wondering Will I ever see his face?
Will I ever hear his voice?
Waiting waiting, months go by,
Then a letter, containing the things you feared.
Sadness comes
Tears and pain.
Why have war?
When all it brings,
Is sadness and pain?
Why not stop the WAR?
And end the pain.

Capricorn (82.36.129.85) -- Tuesday, April 12 2005, 07:59 am You write this with maturity Ashlee. You are obviously sensitive to people's emotions. A well thought out and written poem. I enjoyed reading it. |
