It's not how much money you've made
It's how many times a smile has crossed a face
It's not how many times you have donated
It's how many times your eyes met

It's not how much time you spent doing things
It's how much time you spent together
It's not how many times you went thru a door
It's how many times you held the door for someone else

It's not how many people whose paths you have crossed
It's how many hearts have been touched without notice
It's not just that you lived a life in this world
It's that you have left the world with a little more love

------- Author's Notes -------

This poem was inspired by a friend from high school who reminded me how we touch peoples lives making a difference without even realizing it.

I hope most of those touches I have made, and continue to make in my life, have, and will be positive.
