Finish Line
27 December, 2017
Author: Shan
My emotions exploding in ink
I'm coated in caution
I'm walking the brink of implosion
No, I have not lost it
I've just come across it
You may feel a sense of loss if you blink
So you better watch it
I'm a mess where my heart is
But never the less
I'm a guarded emotional artist
Who started with all that I harvest
A beast who's been starving
So please, beg your pardon
I need this release
Its been hard
But I'm starting to piece all the parts
That have pulled me apart
What I see is alarming
But I'm going all in
And if I fall then I'll crawl on my knees
No more stalling
I hear my calling
This is my time and I'm ready for brawling
Its high time cuz my life's been appalling
So I've redesigned my state of mind
No mistaking me now, I bleed in rhyme
When I feed, I eat it up, line by line
Pull your seat up
Watch me diminish this finish line
You best believe that I'll be exceeding mine
