Broken Paths

Author: Shiloh
Through the years that I have survived,
the years that I have traveled,
the time that all of that has taken,
I have been priveleged to meet and to know
some of the most wonderful people I could wish to meet and know...
Many of them were in the Army with me,
many of them were what you would call buddies,
a few of them wore the title "Friend,"
and there are an untold number of those nameless today
that I wish I could remember more about.
I still remember them, but not as well as I once knew them.
That is a sadness I have today.
It is not an easy thing,
to realize that so much that was once so very important
has slipped away.
There are many
that I wish that I had kept in touch with.
There are many
that I wish that I had kept in touch with.
There were many
that I wish that I had kept in touch with.
