Amen

Don't need a piece of paper
Besides it wouldn't matter
There are just some accomplishments
That surpass what's typed
Do what I feel
What's in my soul
Questioning suggestions and advice
Happily ignoring the hype
Earth and I go hand in hand
It is what I am
Feel so acquainted
Treasure being free
From hats to clothes
From head to toes
Anywhere, anytime
Why not love being me
With age you care less
As time speeds by
Can't get these years back
Might as well enjoy the ride
Only living once
Freedom is to be savored
Relished like a delicacy
Makes me smile wide
Fairy Godmother said
Happiness is a teardrop away
I respectfully beg to differ
It occurs on any given day
Between two choices
Which to decide
Spiritual or carnal
Determines the outcome
Proverbs thought-provoked for days
And then some
War never ceases
Until it's six feet under
In the interim, though
This island of tropical bliss
Is hit, never miss
Things in life that are free
Have long been a lost touch
What the world needs now
Is love so much
As expected, words like these parallel
Same message just worded different
Spoken in a different feeling
Different tone
Not lonely, just wonderfully alone
Carefree and I were meant to be
Like waves to a sea
Or tune to melody
This union is a necessity
No vows to not be kept
No resolutions to be broken
No folks required to have fun
Just a happy party of one
It's more than just happy hour
Any hour, there is power
To control what with and with what
Still working on ifs, ands or buts
Nonchalant is the middle name
Proton energy is so attractive
It's contagious and it feeds
Into overdue longing needs
Communication is sure to succeed
Then you have this breed
Of like minds connecting by chance
Others call it happenstance
Where all misfits and outcasts
Bond without intention
Just gravitating like magnets
They can't help it they were drawn
Time spent, chemistry felt
Then poof, the moment's gone
All go their separate way
And turn in for the day
I resume like a CD on pause
Where I left off, after play
Life I believe was meant to enjoy
As a seed I grow
To sprout into uniqueness
Be who I know
With all my heart
100% guaranteed
All the more and more
It's a must and need
Freedom to be without force
Free flowing like life and nature
Naturally running it's course
And it's course it'll run
From moon to sun
Til the beating heart is done

Dreamer (107.133.200.6) -- Sunday, February 11 2018, 06:38 pm I love what inspiration does. How it works on each of us differently and sends us into our worlds of poetry and creativity. I like this and am glad you were 'inspired' to write it; good job. Never give up the dreams... |
Meri (12.127.231.206) -- Sunday, February 11 2018, 06:45 pm So do I Dreamer. It is motivation to continue. Speaking of creativity, the power of writing sometimes can make you become someone else, even though you're still you, you know? |
