The Seven Shadows 3
25 March, 2003
Author: Everett
(Part 3: Closing The Book)
The clouds begin to break as darkness seems to fade away.
The five demons that once danced are nowhere to be seen.
A slight breeze flows through the almost deserted land.
Dead trees are all around, branches break and fall to the ground.
Three shadows still roam through the night.
The voice of the storyteller faded away with everything else.
The night sky is different this time around.
It's changing colors, its not dead anymore.
The sky is breathing light.
Looking up i see the clouds scatter to make room.
Light falls down and burns through two of the shadows.
Once there were seven shadows that roamed and searched through here.
One now remains.
The light now surrounds me and the land.
Darkness has been taken away.
Off in the distance there is something lying in the dirt.
Its an open book.
The book from which the storyteller read.
I bend down to pick it up, its on the last page.
Three stories were told of seven shadows that lived in the dark.
Six didnt make it through the night.
One is alive standing in the light....me.
I close the book and walk away.
The book sits in the dirt waiting for another to open and tell this story.
The story of seven shadows.
A story of a lost shadow finding the light.
