Soul Of Man

Author: Meridian Zuriel
They say that the eyes
are the window to the soul
Which makes you whole
Take a trip to beauty within
Beyond the skin
The character within
Makes it all unfold
Brings a new meaning to
To have and to hold
Like watching a pay per view
Inside the breath of man
As it shines through
The soul is designed to
Honor and uphold the spiritual law (Lord Help)
Before the body dies
And the spirit flies to
Where the mind has yet to comprehend
But cannot pretend
That life is but a vapor
As quick as it began, it must end
The scriptures must be fulfilled
And the soul transformed
From corruption to perfection
From burial to resurrection
Such a wonder when I ponder
The soul of man, how it all began
In the Garden of Eden
Succeedin' the existence
Of animals and land
God took dust and breathed into
And man came to be
So when you look into the eyes of another
It's not the flesh,
But the soul that you see
