Forgotten
4 February, 2003

Nobody is around anymore.
Words are written, often forgotten.
Im stumbling through words.
Searching for the right thing to say.
This page is filled with mistakes.
Words are marked out and replaced
wtth a better way to describe what i feel.
So often this pen pours my heart and soul onto a piece of paper.
At anytime it can be crumbled and thrown away....or torn to pieces.
My pen bleeds out black ink.
It stains a dead page of thoughts and emotion.
So forget my name, forget these words.
Forget that this page will be lost after its written.
Im already forgotten....just like this poem

Martin Vann (65.57.56.6) -- Tuesday, March 11 2003, 08:49 pm There are times when I feel like writting and start with the first few line and then, suddenly, BAM! My mind goes blank and I realize I'm trying to create something I know absolutely, nothing about. So I just stop. On the other hand, when I finally, get some going and think its done, I ask myself, will anybody understand me, is this but, a game a scrabble that I play by myself? I doubt the New York times will want a copy of my latest revelation or even the kid down the street who likes to write. So, what is my point? I guess its just this, you never know if any one cares until you reach out, or write it down and post it. I read your "blank page" and enjoyed every word. Thanks Everett, Martin V |
