Fall (forever)
23 July, 2018
Author: Pamela O'Brien
The leaves are crisp and restless
The breeze is soft and silent
Trees stand out like skeletons
Against a sky of violet
The grass has slowly turned to rust
The bright flowers laid to rest
Birds with muted melodies
Are abandoning their nests
The blazing summer sun steps down
Making way for harvest moon
It is Autumn;
The season of bittersweet goodbyes
And it will be Winter soon.......
