Put My Foot In My Mouth
19 November, 2018
Author: Meridian Zuriel
Wear a size 7 and a half and I doubt it'll fit
Said this, that and the other at a time of desperate need
Was taken up on it and am thankful for the chance at each deed
In the meantime, yes, my head and my body is begging me to rest
Enjoy that sealy-posturpedic, do what's best
Cause when it all comes down to it
Shut eye is part of health and actually feels pretty darn good
Only machines can go all day, but I'm human, suffice it to say
If I'ma go to and fro Good Lord Willing, you know
then it's bout time I take it slow
Slow my roll, well you know the end
time has a way of catching up
Might as well unwind my mind,
Walk toward comfort, give in, let sleep win
Amen.
