In Memory Of You

Sitting here thinking of you,
Brings tears to my eyes.
For you have gone and left me behind.
The promise you made to me,
That you will always be there,
Still rings in my ears till this day.
Remembering the pranks we pulled,
The games we played,
And all the trouble we got into,
Still makes me laugh till this day.
I still remember the day,
As if it was only yesterday,
When I got the call to say,
That you have passed away.
At that moment,
Apart of me passed away too.
For your not only my friend,
But you are a brother to me too.
So go on now,
And lay your head to rest.
Till we meet again,
Goodbye my cowboy,
For your country girl,
Will never forget.
