Dancing In The Rain
28 June, 2020
Author: Shiloh
In life, it ain’t the hot sun
that bakes you
and makes you sweat rivers,
And it ain’t the freezing cold winds
that come with heavy snowfalls
that wrap around your world,
closing you in,
And it ain’t the worries
about things you can worry about
and know that you can’t do nothin’ about
things by worryin’ anyway,
And it ain’t the sure knowledge
that no matter what day it is,
no matter what time it is,
no matter where you are,
or what you are doin’…
nothing matters
that is gonna make any much difference to you
no matter how much you think about it,
no matter how much you wanna try
to make things different.
What truly matters,
at the end of your trials,
at the end of your longest days,
into the middle of your darkest
and most scary night,
is whether you can dance in the rain.
