You strive for something all your life, you get the support of your wife
You shrug off all the people that will cut your back up with a knife
You take all the classes that will help you to succeed
But fall as a victim to other people's greed
You try to bounce back and approach from another angle
But every time you do this it's like life's about to strangle
It'll force you to a corner, it'll force you to submit
Your neighbors see a broken man but they don't give a s*#t
Now you're running out of time, and your chances start to fade
You committed all your options with the choices that you made
There's no time to stall, I need to stand tall
I want to be proud when I'm saying f*#k you all

Several years later now you're really way too old
To ever live your dream, or at least that's what you're told
You've already lost your hope, you've already lost your pride
No one understands just what you're feeling inside
And so you close your eyes to see it once in your mind
You'd like to just drop everything and leave it all behind
But you can't make it far without your past coming back
The stress is building up until you feel the heart attack
Now you're rotting in the sand as your blood stains the land
Your dream was never yours now you'll never understand
There's no time to stall, I need to stand tall

Know what you gotta do
Ignore all the people that are laughing there at you
