From Tulsa, Oklahoma

Author: Shiloh
Some day it may be the normal thing,
but today it was a new experience for me.
Years back I would have never thought
of such a thing as a funeral service by video.
It wasn’t bad, and it was nicely done,
the only thing it didn’t do was carry over
to the graveside.
And it never showed the casket.
I sorta needed that,
for my own personal closure, I suppose.
But it was nice to be in Tulsa for the service, regardless.
Gene Clark. Age 73. DOD 6 October 2020.
First met him in Hakata, Kyushu, Japan, 1968, I think.
We were in the Agency together.
He was a nice guy. Hell, we were all nice guys.
Just ask any of us.
A little crazy, maybe, but that went with the territory.
Never had a friend like him before… or after.
Gene was one to cross the river with.
