Time Is A Thief
24 July, 2021
Author: Shiloh
One day you are young,
Strong,
Aware of all things around you
That you should be aware of,
The next day
You are wondering
Just where in hell did all that time go,
So quickly. Oh, so quickly?
And what about those things
You once thought about,
The same things you once dreamed of,
The hopes and plans
You dared not mention to anyone
But kept them all silently to yourself…
Knowing that if you shared them with others,
They would disintegrate,
Like smoke on the water
In a gale,
And you will be there,
Standing on the edge of the shore,
Your mind windswept,
Wondering, ever after,
Just what the hell just happened, anyway?
