Snow Globe
26 January, 2022
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Lost,
We are captured in a snow globe of our realities.
Closing off all that surrounds us.
Missing what could be good outside
No care to that, which is missed
We trudge through the weight of the snow at our feet
Dragging the burdens we keep inside
Waiting to be shaken up
So the snow that surrounds us is lifted
We peer through the glass-
distortions of the real world
Not truly seeing what is beyond
Imprisoned in what we created
If only we could close our eyes
To open them again in the reality
Letting the snow subside without us
Passing through the fragile distortions of our mind
Seeing the snow globe for what it is
A beautiful soulful place
Where no one should linger long
Only a place to visit for a short time
Enjoying it's solitude and quiet
