The Phoenix Dawn

The Phoenix dawn
I awoke but not alone
The night before was gone.
Blue metal looked like
It was melting in the morning dew
Droplets covered everything
Except me and you.
The steamed visions were kept inside
Dew filled fingerprints
Made the tracks that guide.
Reality came around
I was awake for real
She was not in it for love
Which cut like sharpened steel.
I was worried about the rumors
Of my onslaught
Inside I was busted
I know I was caught.
