This, Too, Will Happen
26 July, 2022
Author: Shiloh
there are so very many moments that I missed,
so many moments that are lost,
so many fleeting and random blips
on the timelines shared,
and all are, all were,
valuable, important, appreciated, treasured....
so very many moments.
Soon, too soon, they will be gone,
messages of the past,
perhaps memories for the future,
but for some of us, just silence,
heavy, lonely, deafening silence...
no longer thoughts in our minds,
no longer conversations or ideas or words
or anything at all recongnizable to us,
to be sorted through and placed upon shelves
and left alone to become dusty
and forgotten relics
of some long ago time,
some old things of once-important dreams and hopes...
too soon they will join the covered and sleeping experiences
that are no longer....
we will miss them.
that is as it should be,
as it will be, and it will be final.
