Withering Leaf

Withering leaf, an autumn morn,
Listened to the happy wind lull.
Crimson woe inscribed on its façade
While its emerald gleam totally tarnished.

Daytime rain flip-flopped incessantly,
Drenching this lonely maple leaf callously.

A maple leaf amid the manless meadow,
Dreaming of summertime bright.
It lay alone in fall's wetness,
Silently humming in its own language.
