My Personal Losses
28 August, 2022
Author: Shiloh
A beautiful acoustic guitar
With a turtle-back case;
SEVERAL high end Mickey Mantle cards;
My thousand dollar Masonic ring;
My testicles and dignity;
Nearly 40 damn years of once-valuable life;
My feelings of self-worth since the the late Seventies;
Dreams and other wasted thoughts;
Thoughts and other wasted dreams;
I should have known better —
I wish I had known better.
Man, when I f*ck up,
I just do the hell out of it.
